The Public Relations Division held an EFEC SOV (Social of Visiting) event at Assohwah Orphanage on Saturday, August 26th, 2023. The activities themselves were carried out in the form of learning and playing together with the children and EFEC's members. The goal of this activity was to teach English to the orphanage children by providing basic English lessons, including verbs, names of animals, fruits, and more.
To ensure that the learning experience was not boring, EFEC's members utilized media such as drawing boards and whiteboards to directly engage and interact with the children. During the process, the children were divided into two groups: Group 1 consisted of Elementary and Junior High School children, while Group 2 included High School children.
Group 2, also known as the Senior High School children, had the first opportunity to study together. They covered topics like verbs, tenses, and English vocabulary translation. For the Elementary and Middle School children, the material focused on recognizing the English alphabet, numbers in English, and translating simple English vocabulary.
Following the teaching sessions, a quiz was conducted, dividing the children into several groups. The group that successfully answered the quiz received prizes, but ultimately, all groups, including all children, received prizes.
After the prize distribution, the event was concluded by the MC, and a group photo session was held with the Assohwah Orphanage children and EFEC's members.
We hope that through this activity, the children at Assohwah Orphanage have gained valuable knowledge for their future!
