To welcome and strengthen the feeling of kinship with EFEC Newbies 2023, EFEC held a welcoming newbies on Thursday, 28th September 2023 at Basketball Court FEB UNRI.
The event started at 4.00 pm and began with an opening by the MC, followed by a Welcoming Speech from the Chairman of EFEC for the 2023/2024 period, Mikhael Suryadinata. This was followed by an introduction of the Executives and the Head of Divisions in EFEC to the 2023 EFEC Newbies, and finally, an introduction of the Newbies to their Mentors. To make the Welcoming Newbie event lively and enjoyable, the committee prepared exciting games for newbies and EFEC members. The EFEC Newbies were divided into 7 groups guided by Mentors from EFEC Members.
The main event series included playing Tongue Twister Games. The game was simple, players were given a phrase to say and were timed to see who could say the phrase the most times for the longest amount of time without making a mistake. To keep it fair, all players should be given the same phrase. After that, there was a performance of chants per minigroup with their mentors.
While the newbies were making introductions, the consumption committee grilled the chicken which would be served for dinner that night. Then, at 7.30 pm, it was time for dinner together, with the grilled chicken prepared by the consumption committee. The feeling of family at EFEC was truly palpable during this time.
After the dinner session, the next activity was singing together. All members and newbies really enjoyed the Welcoming Newbie party night, as everyone sang with enthusiasm.
The final series of events included the announcement of the winners of the games that had been played previously, followed by a group photo session.
